Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where our team warmly welcomes you. A private transfer takes you to your hotel in Arusha. Unwind from your travels, savor a fine meal, and let anticipation for your Kilimanjaro adventure build.
Day 2: Preparation & Orientation
Your day is devoted to preparing in comfort and confidence.

- Afternoon at leisure: unwind at the hotel, or explore Arusha’s cultural vibrance.
Day 3: Marangu Gate (1,870m) → Mandara Hut (2,700m)
After a scenic drive to Marangu Gate, begin trekking through lush rainforest alive with birdsong and colobus monkeys. A gentle ascent leads to Mandara Hut, your overnight stop surrounded by forest serenity.
Day 4: Mandara Hut → Horombo Hut (3,720m)
The path opens into moorland, with sweeping views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Giant lobelias and groundsels line the trail. Reach Horombo Hut, where you’ll enjoy a comfortable night with panoramic vistas.
Day 5: Horombo Hut → Kibo Hut (4,700m)
Trek across the alpine desert, following a steady path to Kibo Hut, set at the foot of Kilimanjaro’s crater wall. Rest early, preparing for your midnight summit attempt.
Day 6: Summit Day – Kibo Hut → Uhuru Peak (5,895m) → Horombo Hut
At midnight, begin your ascent under a sky full of stars. Follow the winding trail past Gilman’s Point (5,681m) and Stella Point (5,739m) to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m)—the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your achievement, then descend to Horombo Hut for a restorative rest.
Day 7: Horombo Hut → Marangu Gate → Arusha
Descend through moorland and forest to Marangu Gate, where your summit certificate awaits. A private transfer returns you to Arusha. Spend the evening unwinding at your hotel or toasting your climb with a private dining experience.
Day 8: Departure / Extensions
Depending on your plans:
- Private transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for onward travel.
- Extend into a luxury safari in the Serengeti or Ngorongoro Crater.
- Or, prepare for another legendary adventure—Mount Meru.
Inclusions & exclusions
Our net rates are designed to be fully inclusive, ensuring that every guest enjoys a seamless and worry-free experience from arrival to departure.
The package includes:
- All transfers as mentioned, including personalized airport pick-up and drop-off.
- Luxury accommodation with two nights before the climb and one night after the climb in a 4- or 5-star hotel. Guests may also choose from a selection of premium hotels based on personal preference.
- Lunch and dinner at your hotel in town.

What’s Not Included
To give you flexibility, the following items are not included in our Kilimanjaro trekking rates:
- International and domestic airfare tickets.
- Optional activities and tours (e.g., safaris after your climb).
- Visas, airport taxes, and travel documentation.
- Health, travel, and cancellation insurance.
- Personal trekking gear (such as trekking poles, sleeping bags, duffel bags, and mountain clothing).
- Bottled water and other beverages outside the mountain climb.
- Tips, alcoholic beverages, and personal expenses.
